State Republicans are set to gather in Milwaukee this weekend for their annual convention.
Governor Scott Walker is running for a third term, and the GOP Senate primary also continues.
Congressman Sean Duffy said there's some challenges for the GOP this year, including the potential for a 'blue wave' by Democrats.
"Democrats are talking about Russia, Stormy Daniels and everything people don't care about. people care about the economy they care about growth they care abut tier jobs their raises they care about national security and those are things we are talking about," Duffy said.
Duffy was elected in 2010 and won an open seat in Northwestern Wisconsin that was once held by a Democrat for four decades.
Democrats gathering in Marquette Park earlier today talked about what they are calling a dangerous and divisive Republican agenda.
The Democratic state convention is coming up in a few weeks.
It'll be in Oshkosh on Friday June 1 and Saturday June 2.
