The Wisconsin State Patrol is down one cruiser, thanks in part to slick roads Sunday.
A Wisconsin state trooper shared photos of his damaged cruiser.
Trooper Dave Schmidt says he was sitting in his car protecting a crash scene, when someone rammed into him.
In his post, he also reminds drivers to move over and slow down for maintenance vehicles, emergency vehicles, and tow vehicles, especially in inclement weather.
Schmidt says he suffered minor injuries, but he will “live to serve another day without permanent/life altering affects. Other troopers have not been so lucky….”
