State leaders say they're deferring a proposal to create a joint facility for State Patrol and the Outagamie County Sheriff's Department. The announcement comes after six months of discussions between state and county leaders. Outagamie County Executive Tom Nelson says he's confident in the proposal, " wouldn't be surprised in the coming years that the state would partner with a different law enforcement agency in the state because it makes a lot of sense."
