A "Stand Up to Racism" presentation was held on Thursday at the YMCA in Green Bay.
This event featured members of the Somali community. Some of the topics discussed included fleeing and surviving war, the immigration process, and life experiences living in the United States. Members of the Somali say the purpose of the presentation was to educate community members of misconceptions and stereotypes that are not true.
Those at the presentation said Green Bay is a very helpful and welcoming community.
