The Fremont Police Department reports officers were called to the Wolf River Crossings boat launch in the Village of Fremont around 5 PM on Saturday.
A snowmobiler had driven into open water and was attempting to swim to shore. He was identified as an 18-year-old Winneconne man.
Bystanders were helping him out of the water and trying to keep him warm. Emergency responders from Remont Police and Waupaca County Sheriff Deputies as well as the Wisconsin State Patrol, Fremont Ambulance and Fremont Fire were on the scene where the man was treated and released to a family member.
