On Small Business Satuday, Keli Biebel welcomed customers to her store Wild Ginger.
"Today is our biggest day of the year, and we just look forward to it every year," said Biebel.
She said they opened their doors an hour early to give customers extra time to shop locally.
"It brings people down to support local business which in turn keeps the money local," added Biebel.
She said it keeps the money local by paying employees and allowing stores like Wild Ginger to buy from other local businesses.
"I purchase my bags from local companies and my tissue paper and all the things that go into running a business. And it keeps me purchasing and bringing things to the local communities," said Biebel.
Customers told us they're excited to support local businesses like Wild Ginger and find treasures there they don't typically find anywhere else.
Megan Avery was home from college and said she loves coming to the small businesses in Green Bay.
"The more we support them, the more kinds of different businesses we're going to get around here and keep around here," said Avery.
Biebel said it's great seeing the customers coming through their doors.
"Every customer that comes up to the register to buy something is always saying, 'Thanks for being here,' 'Thanks for having this great store,' and it just makes you feel good because it's a lot of work," said Biebel.
In return, to thank their customers, Wild Ginger offered discounts at the store and gave a free gift to anyone spending 25 dollars, hoping they will continue to shop local.
