Saturday was the annual EAA Skiplane Fly-In at Pioneer Airport in Oshkosh.
Organizers say the event is way to welcome pilots and the community to enjoy aviation.
"Most people don't get the opportunity to come and land on what is normally a grass runway during the summer, and today it's covered in snow, and it's a gathering. Anytime you have a gathering of interested aviators who are interested in skiplane flying, there's an opportunity for them to all come together, “said Jack Pelton.
Organizers say in past years more than 25 skiplanes have participated in the event.
