Silver Alert issued for missing man

APPLETON, Wis. - UPDATE: The Silver Alert for a missing 64-year-old Appleton man has been canceled. 

Bruce Belongia has returned home and is safe. 

Police have issued a Silver Alert as they need your help to find a missing man.

Appleton Police say Bruce Belongia, 64 of Appleton, was last seen leaving his Appleton home Tuesday afternoon. Police now believe he may be in the Green Bay area.

They say he told his relative that he was going to a storage unit in Kaukauna. He also frequents casinos, taverns, and has on occasion stopped at park and ride areas to rest in his vehicle.

Belongia is about 5' 10", weighs 175 pounds, has long gray hair, has green eyes, facial hair and a military tattoo on his right bicep.

Police say he was last seen wearing a brown hooded jacket, tan pants, a black baseball cap and Packers slip on shoes.

He is believed to be driving a 2008 silver Vollkswagon Jetta with WI plates 550-SWS. The photo above is similar to what he may be driving. The vehicle is missing the outside cover of the driver's side mirror.
