You don't have to wait in line Thanksgiving night to find the perfect gift.
It's 3:30 p.m. on Black Friday, and Brett Lessner is browsing the deals at Target, looking for presents for his nieces and nephew. It's his first time Black Friday shopping, and he's a little surprised.
"I was thinking it would be a little bit quieter right now," he said.
But almost 24 hours after Target opened for Black Friday deals, the aisles are still full with shoppers on the hunt for the best deal.
"Without having the Packers game this year, that helped a lot," said Jessy Lundin, Store Manager of the Target in Ashwaubenon.
That means more foot traffic in area stores from Thanksgiving night through Sunday.
"I'd say we'll see roughly 15, maybe 20,000 people come through," Lundin said.
Toys and electronics were the main items shoppers bought Thanksgiving night, according to Lundin. However, they looked for something different throughout the day Friday.
"More of our apparel deals that are happening right now because we have some amazing deals going on in apparel," said Lundin.
Some items were already off the shelves by mid-afternoon on Friday.
"The Hatchimals I do not have," said Lundin. "The Nintendo DS system, the old school gaming system, we're out of that."
But getting those early deals isn't always important, as long as you find the perfect gift, like many did well into Friday night.
