The Brown County Sheriff's Office says a 21-year-old woman died in a crash late Wednesday night in the Village of Suamico.
Lt. Jason McAuly tells NBC26 that alcohol is believed to be a factor in the crash.
It happened around 11:30 p.m. on County Highway J/Lakeview Drive, south of Norfield Road.
Deputies say the car was headed south on County Highway J, when it overturned after failing to negotiate a curve, hitting a ditch embankment.
Three women, ages 20, 21 and 23, were inside the car.
The 21-year-old woman was thrown from the car and died at the scene. Lt. McAuly says she was not wearing a seatbelt.
Her name is not being released until family is notified.
Deputies say the 23-year-old woman was taken to an area hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
The 20-year-old driver refused medical transport.
The Brown County Sheriff's Department says that charges are pending.
Weather did hinder the investigation and that the crash is under investigation.
