Sheriff: 14-year-old boy accidently shoots 12-year-old cousin in town of Bear Creek

A 12-year-old boy was accidentally shot in the shoulder by his 14-year-old cousin in the town of Bear Creek at about 7 p.m. Thursday, according to the Waupaca County Sheriff's Office.

Bear Creek first responders and deputies provided first aid to the victim until Clintonville Ambulance arrived. The victim was transported to ThedaCare New London, then flown by Theda Star to Theda Clark in Neenah where he was stabilized and flown to Milwaukee Children's Hospital, where they are in stable condition.

Although the shooting is believed to be accidental, it remains under investigation.
