A Shawano pastor can once again raise his hands to the heaven after having long-term shoulder problems.
Thanks to successful surgery and therapy through ThedaCare Orthopedic Care, Senior Pastor Scott Ludford from Zion Lutheran Church in Shawano is back to his former self.
Pastor Ludford always kept his hands low because pain in his shoulder limited his movement.
He was diagnosed with a rotator cuff injury, most likely from his years of wrestling in high school and college.
"I couldn't raise my hands, say to do the Benediction," said Pastor Ludford. "So from this, to this! Or even making the sign of the cross was impossible until the surgery."
Pastor Ludford has been a pastor for 30 years, with the last two being in Shawano.
