Senator Ron Johnson toured the Amerilux plant in De Pere Tuesday.
Johnson says his plant, PACUR, produced similar products. The visit comes as Johnson faces a stiff re-election campaign against former Senator Russ Feingold.
Johnson spoke to media after the tour, touting his manufacturing experience.
He says, "we have to reduce our regulatory burden which is massive, about $14,800, per household per year."
Johnson blamed career politicians for what he calls slow economic growth, since 2009.
