Runners find motivation at Bellin Women's Half Marathon

Posted

Runners in Green Bay came out Saturday for the Bellin Women's Half Marathon.

The run finished up at the CityDeck in Green Bay, where NBC26 spoke with runners about the cause.

They say that everybody is affected by cancer in some ways, and runs like these are a great source of motivation.

"I think Green Bay comes and rallies around everybody that needs it," runner Amy Proctor said. "We have great hospitals, we have great care. My sister is a nurse and it's just, anybody that's going through cancer appreciates what we do. When you're running that last few blocks and you don't think you can run anymore, you just go, well, there's a lot of people that can't run."
