Police are searching for whoever stole a royal tiara and diamond brooch from an armored glass display case in England.
On Tuesday night last week, police say burglars broke into the Portland Collection Gallery on the Welbeck Estate in Worksop, Nottinghamshire. Between 9.45 p.m. and 10 p.m., police say the suspects stole the tiara and a diamond brooch from a glass display case while the alarms were sounding.
Police did not provide a description of suspects, but did say they are looking for anyone who might have seen a silver Audi S5 that is suspected to have been involved in the case. Police say the suspected vehicle was found abandoned and burned about half-an-hour after the incident.
The tiara stolen is known as the Portland Tiara. Police say it's a national treasure that has been seen by countless members of the public.
