Ripon firefighters say a man has died as a result of a weekend fire in the city. According to a news release, police officer were the first to arrive at the scene, located at 217 1/2 Watson St. on Saturday.
Firefighters were called in and were able to put the fire out in one of the apartments. Upon a search of the area, the victim, identified as 32 year old Stephen D. Dahlke was unresponsive and declared dead at a local hospital.
All other occupants inside the complex were safely rescued by firefighters.
