A fire at 12:10 p.m. Monday caused residents to evacuate the Nicolet Apartments, 221 Huth St. in Green Bay.
The fire department says unattended cooking in the kitchen of one of the two-story building's 68 apartment units was the cause of the fire.
Smoke was coming from the front of the building before firefighters extinguished a fully involved kitchen and living room, according to the Green Bay Fire Department press release. Damage is estimated at $125,000. There were no injuries reported.
Residents near the affected apartment are expected to be allowed back in pending an electrical inspection, but four to 10 people will be displaced by the fire, according to the release.
