At a news conference Thursday morning, State Rep. David Steffen (R-Howard) announced he has sent a feasibility and cost analysis study to Governor Scott Walker to restore or replace the Green Bay Correctional Institution in Howard.
The cost to renovate the facility is estimated at $140 million. It will take five years or more to replace Green Bay Correctional.
Steffen plans are part of an overall plan to improve Wisconsin's prison system.
