State Representative David Steffen announced today that he will not run for the 8th Congressional District seat.
“After the retirement announcement by Congressman Ribble, I spent the next three weeks exploring the possibility of running for the 8th Congressional District," Steffen said. "After extensive consideration, one critical fact influenced my decision not to run for Congress this fall: I am really enjoying my current role in the Wisconsin State Assembly. As the State Representative to the 4th District, I have successfully led on several important issues to the residents of my district and the state. I believe my passion, effort and ability are currently best suited for building upon those legislative successes and making Wisconsin an even better place to live, work and play.”
