The Fox Cities Salvation Army's first red kettle match day of the season was on Wednesday. From 8:00am to 8:00pm, Bassett Mechanical matched donations up to $5,000.
For David Minks of the Salvation Army, this time of year is crucial for the success of their programs that help people in need. "Our goal is massive. It is to raise enough money for our programs throughout the year. We're going to be serving a Thanksgiving lunch, providing over 70 families just in this center alone for Thanksgiving in the coming days."
The Salvation Army has over 9,500 open bell ringing shifts that need to be filled. You can sign-up to volunteer here.
