If your Thursday morning drive takes you across the Ray Nitschke Bridge, you might want to find another route.
The department of public works is scheduled to close the bridge from Dousman and Broadway on the west side of the Fox River to Main and Washington Streets on the east side starting at 8:30 in the morning and running through 3:00 in the afternoon.
The department expects to finish the maintenance work all in one day.
Ways around it include the Tilleman Bridge on Ashland Avenue and the Walnut Street bridge. If you're driving through the area at anytime, expect backups and delays.
