The Greater Wisconsin Chapter of the Alzheimer's Association hosted the inaugural Purple Gala and Tap for A Cure event Thursday evening at the Fox Cities Performing Arts Center in Appleton.
The Purple Gala is a formal dinner, while Tap for A Cure features 35 different beer and spirit samples from craft brewers.
The money raised will help fund services for families dealing with the disease.
NBC26's Stacy Engebretson served as the emcee for the Purple Gala. She shared how her grandmother's battle with Alzheimer's impacted her family.
