The Pulaski Police Department has opened a new safe room. It allows victims of domestic violence, sexual abuse, and even road rage to find shelter from the threat until police can help them.
"If they need something, they're going to come to our facility. We want to make sure that if they're in danger, that something that is a potential high-risk situation or somebody is pursuing somebody, they have a safe location to go to while waiting for police," said Pulaski Police Chief Mark Hendzel.
Pulaski's safe room is one of the first of its kind in Northeast Wisconsin.
