Sunday marked the start of Casimir Pulaski Week.
General Casimir Pulaski served in the Revolutionary War and this event helps to bring awareness to who he is and why Pulaski was named after him. Members of Pulaski however, also use the historic week to promote their community and what it has to offer.
"A jam session one night with a bunch of polka bands. We have a big dance on Saturday night and next Sunday in the morning, we've got a school group called The Bohemian Bunch," explained Pulaski Area Historical Society volunteer, Rock Mannigel.
This year's event runs March 5 through March 12.
