Posted
The Wisconsin Department of Transportation will hold a public meeting to discuss the construction details, project schedules, and traffic impacts of two WIS 55 projects in Outagamie County.

The DOT will discuss the reconstruction of the Little Henry Creek box culvert in the city of Seymour, as well as a proposed resurfacing of WIS 55 from Lake Road in Seymour to Shady Road near the north Shawano/Outagamie County line.

The meeting will be from 5 to 7 p.m. on Wednesday, February 22, 2017 at Seymour City Hall, located at 328 N. Main Street.

There will be a short presentation at 5:15 p.m. followed by an open house, according to the DOT.

The Little Henry Creek box culvert project will reconstruct the culvert on WIS 55 (Main Street) in downtown Seymour. The culvert is beyond its service life.

The building at 207 N. Main Street will be raised as part of the reconstruction. The project is scheduled for summer of 2017.

Traffic will be detoured via Mainline Drive and County G during construction. Local and emergency access will be maintained during construction.

In the 2018 construction season, WisDOT is proposing to resurface WIS 55 between Lake Road and Shady Road and replace culvert pipes and beam guard. During culvert pipe replacement, traffic will be detoured via County G, WIS 47, and WIS 156.
