UPDATE: The Green Lake County Sheriff's Office has identified the person found dead inside a burned home as Grace Reiter-Rudolph, 55, of Princeton.

The Princeton Police Department is investigating a suspicious death as a homicide.

That fire happened Monday, March 13 in the 100 block of South Farmer Street in the City of Princeton in Green Lake County.

They say due to the suspicious nature of the case and the findings of an autopsy that's why investigators are looking at this as a homicide.

Officers have also arrested a person of interest in the case.

That person was taken into custody by the United States Department of Justice Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) and other State of Florida agencies on a probation warrant.

Fire crews spent several hours battling the blaze and had to call in multiple agencies for assistance.

Once the fire was under control and due to the suspicious nature of the fire, the State Fire Marshall and Princeton Police Department conducted an investigation.  They discovered a body inside the home.

Investigators say they don't believe the public is in any danger at this time.

The investigation is still ongoing and the Princeton Police Department is asking anyone with information on what happened to call their department at 920-294-4000.
