The man accused of shooting his girlfriend, and setting their house on fire, was in court Monday.
Antonio Contreras, 29, is facing four charges including, first degree intentional homicide, arson of a building, mutilation of a corpse and possession of a firearm by a felon.
Prosecutors say he shot and killed his girlfriend and then lit the home they shared on fire to hide the crime.
Monday, the judge ordered him to give a DNA sample and set his next court date, a status hearing, for April 24th.
