UPDATE: 1:21pm -- Power has been restored to about 1,300 customers. The outage near E. Edgewood Drive and French Road was due to a traffic accident.

More than 1,800 WE Energies customers are without power in Appleton.
According to the company's recorded message, they have crews working right now to restore electricity. They expect it to be repaired around 1:00pm.
No word yet on what caused the outage.
