Ashwaubenon Public Safety has been informed by Walmart that the recent issue involving checks is valid. The information obtained by the original complaint was found to be inaccurate.

If you receive a refund check in the mail from Walmart, don't cash it, police say.
Ashwaubenon Public Safety says the scam looks to gain access to your bank accounts and routing numbers.
Officials posted a photo of the letter and check on its Facebook page Wednesday.
Police also are warning those who receive the check not to call the number in the letter.
