Police standoff over in Grand Chute after argument involving gun

A standoff ends with a search for a man involved in Grand Chute.

Officers were called just before 3:30 p.m. to the 3200 block of W 4th Street for a disturbance between a man and woman involving a gun.

According to police, a woman walked into a man's apartment with a gun and the two struggled as he tried to take it away. He was able to get the gun and the woman left, police said.

The building he was in was evacuated and the woman was brought in for questioning.

Officers were able to enter the complex where they found a gun, but did not find the man in question.

Grand Chute and Appleton Police, along with the Outagamie County Sheriff's Department responded to the standoff, and are now actively searching for the man.

Authorities do not believe there is a threat to the public.
