FOX CROSSING, Wis-- Police are searching for a suspect who robbed a gas station Wednesday night.

It happened around 9:30 p.m. at the BP on the corner of Prospect Avenue and American Drive.

The same location was the scene of an armed robbery last week on June 2nd.

A black man wearing a white hoodie and black mask showed a gun and demanded money.

He got away with an undetermined amount of money.

Investigators believe the robberies are connected, and may also be connected to recent robberies in Neenah and Winnebago County.

The Wisconsin Crime Prevention Practitioner’s Association offers tips on how to avoid a robbery, and what to do during and after a robbery.

To avoid a robbery:
- keep an eye out for anything out of the ordinary including vehicles or people around the building
- keep doors and windows clear for good visibility
- stay alert
- use surveillance cameras
- place excess cash in a drop safe until it can be transferred to the bank

During a robbery:
- stay calm and follow orders
- get accurate descriptions of all suspects
- listen to conversation between any suspects
- call 911 as soon as it is safe to do so

After a robbery:
- lock the doors and don’t let anyone in or out except for law enforcement
- don’t touch anything the suspect(s) may have touched
- staff and customers should not compare descriptions of suspects or details of the event
- don’t make phone calls or send texts, except to law enforcement
