APPLETON, Wis-- Appleton Police are looking for information related to an assault that happened early Sunday morning.
Police say it happened in the 500 block of East Winnebago Street around 4:40 a.m.
Responding officers determined the assault had taken place outside of an apartment, near an adjacent sidewalk.
The female victim is currently being treated at an area hospital for serious injuries to her face and head. She is expected to recover.
