The Green Bay Police Department is working to remove "Obamacare" signs that have been posted throughout the city in areas that violate city ordinances.
A police officer saw a man posting the signs on Thursday, November 24.
The signs include a phone number to call for free health, dental and vision care enrollment.
Police say they told the man that he was violating city ordinances by posting the signs on telephone and light poles. Sings were also posted on trees.
According to police, they warned the man to stop putting up the signs or he could face a $180 citation.
Officers have been instructed to remove the signs if they see them, but since Thursday is a holiday they do not expect to remove the majority of the signs until Friday.
Police say the man who posted the signs works for a mass advertising company out of North or South Carolina.
