MANITOWOC, Wis.- Manitowoc police report a teen has suffered serious injuries after being hit by a bus. The accident happened around 7:00 this morning near Waldo Blvd. and North 9th Street.
The 15 year old was taken to a local hospital for treatment and later flown to a regional trauma center.
Police are investigating the accident and interviewing witnesses along with students and the bus driver who hit the teen. Depending on what they learn police say that will determine whether they will press charges on the bus driver.
The Manitowoc School District superintendent Mark Holzman says the schools will have counselors on hand for anyone who would like to talk about what happened.
