UPDATE: Oshkosh Police say the incident in Algoma was an officer involved shooting. There is one subject that is at the hospital. That man's condition is not known at this time.

UPDATE: Town Chair Joel Rasmussen confirmed to NBC26 that the threat is over.
He says earlier today a car crashed into a pickup outside the town hall then shots were fired.
Police entered the building and told everyone to stay inside.
Rasmussen says they're still on lockdown until police finish interviewing them about what happened.
Everyone in the town hall is okay.
One person was taken away in an ambulance outside.

Witnesses report hearing 4 gun shots fired outside the Algoma Town Hall, near Oshkosh around 3:30pm Thursday afternoon.
The Winnebago Sheriff's Department is on the scene of what is being called an "active crime scene".
Witnesses say police responded quickly and told employees to stay inside the building.
