UPDATE: Fond Du Lac Police have identified the source of a social media threat, directed at Fond Du Lac High School.
Investigators say they've linked the post to a 16 year old male from Arkansas, who had previous ties to the Fond Du Lac area.
Officers say the male admitted to send a post to several students on Snapchat that reads:
"Attention Fondy High school students I've been informed that there is going to be a school shooting tomorrow (3/5/18) I don't know if this is true but I wouldn't trust it don't go to school tomorrow."
Fond Du Lac Police are currently working with the Fond Du Lac County District Attorney and authorities in Arkansas, on possible criminal charges.
Police say they will continue to have an increased presence in and around Fond Du Lac High School throughout Tuesday, just as a precaution.
