Police issue warning to public after fatal crash

Green Bay Police are urging people to be extra cautious when driving or walking on the street, after a fatal accident Thursday night.

A 36-year-old Green Bay woman was struck and killed by a vehicle while crossing the street. The incident happened at Manitowoc Road and Brosig Street at around 7:30 Thursday night.

After police arrived, the woman was taken to a local hospital where she later died. The driver of the vehicle a 40-year-old Green Bay woman was not injured in the accident.

Police also encourage anyone who's out walking at night to wear bright clothing and to use lights or reflectors. Police say at this point in the investigation they see no signs of criminal activity, but they call it an unfortunate incident for everyone involved.
