TWO RIVERS – Police are on the lookout for a possible child enticement suspect. Tuesday afternoon around 3 o’clock, an 11 year-old girl got off the school bus and was approached by a man. Now police are taking to social media and also sharing the information with other towns with hopes of catching the man.
“The more eyes we have looking for the suspect the better… We have a low crime rate in Two Rivers so people are concerned and want to help” Says Lieutenant Shawn Engleman of the Two Rivers Police Department.
Engleman also says the girl handled the situation well “She ran away and had her grandmother call 911”. The girl was also able to give a description of the man and car which, while Engleman says it’s important to get away, the description will help police find the suspect.
The 11-year-old will meet with another officer soon to complete a composite and also a more detail description of the car. Police hoping this will help find the suspect and put parent’s minds at ease.
