The Fond du Lac Police Department reports they have identified a person of interest after a suspicious incident near a school on Friday.
A young girl told her mother, who then told police that she was approached by a man while walking home from school near the intersection of S. Main Street and 15th Street.
Police credit the public with providing tips that led them to the correct person who they were able to speak with about the incident.
The 50-year-old Fond du Lac man admitted to police that he spoke to the girl but denied any physical contact, as she had originally reported.
