City of Menasha police recently shared disturbing details of discarded needles in area parks.
They say the needles were found on the ground in Jefferson Park and other areas.
The needles were likely discarded by drug users during winter and now that the snow is melting, the needles are posing serious health risks.
Officer Aaron Zemlock with the City Police Department says they've seen an increase in reports of needles found in places around the city. Since August, Zemlock says it's happened maybe 9 times.
If you find needles, do not touch them. You should call the police department immediately, at 920-967-3500.
