OSHKOSH – The search continues for an 17-year-old Oshkosh girl who went missing Tuesday Afternoon.
The Winnebago County Dive Team searched the cold water looking for any trace of that 17-year-old for about 11 hours, wrapping up that search
The girl was reported missing to police Tuesday evening after family says she didn’t show up to school and no one could contact her.
Kylie Wendhardt is the missing girl’s cousin. “Dealing with something like this is just tragic she was really a great girl, she’s beautiful, smart, and intelligent. This is something you would never think about.” says Wendhardt.
As police began searching, the investigation lead them to the Wisconsin Street Bridge. The Dive Team began searching a little after 4:30 this morning.
The dive team has wrapped up for the day but will start back the search Thursday Morning.
Police do not expect foul play.
