Police Arrest Man for Allegedly Hurting Officer

According to the Sturgeon Bay Police Department, a man who was allegedly intoxicated was arrested after hurting an officer. 
 
The incident happened around 1:30 am. Sunday at Poh's Corner Pub for a report of a man taking and drinking other people’s drinks. Officers say when they arrived; the 31 year old man from Sturgeon Bay was yelling, swearing and pounding his fists on the bar. They asked him to leave and he refused.
 
According to police, when officers went to arrest the man for disorderly conduct, he resisted.  Officers had to take the man to the ground in order to handcuff him, and in the process, one of the officer's arm/wrist was hurt during the process of arresting him, when the suspect landed on the officer's arm.  
 
The injured officer was taken to the hospital, and suffered a sprain with a soft tissue injury.
 
The man was taken to the hospital for medical and mental evaluation.  While in the ER, police say the man told two officers he was going kill them. 
 
Once medically cleared, the man was taken to jail and charged with two felonies, threatening a law enforcement officer and resisting an officer with injury, and two misdemeanors, disorderly conduct (two counts) and bail jumping.
