An area club is talking about tough topics with local students.
The Thursday Breakfast Optimist Club in Green Bay is hosting assemblies at middle schools in Green Bay, De Pere and Ashwaubenon.
They're talking about building character and lifestyle choices, hoping to encourage respect for differing points of view.
Experts say middle school children are at a crucial stage of development to accept the message.
The Club will be at West De Pere Middle School Wednesday morning, and at Washington Middle School Wednesday afternoon.
