The Greater Green Bay Convention & Visitors Bureau announced plans for a new visitors' center.
The $6.5 million facility will be near I-41 and Lombardi Avenue.
More than 5.7 people visit the area each year, according to a news release.
“There is momentum to boost tourism in a region that is widely visited, and at the same time, we can open the front door of Greater Green Bay to attract talent to our forward-thinking community," Brad Toll, president and CEO of the Convention & Visitors Bureau said in a statement.
Construction is set to begin next spring, with the center set to open in summer of 2020.
