Planned power outage in Oshkosh

OSHKOSH - A planned power outage is scheduled in Oshkosh on Wednesday the 6th from 3 a.m. to 6 a.m.

The outage is necessary to complete a voltage conversion project. Wisconsin Public Service engineers will be upgrading older lines to a higher voltage to improve reliability. The outage will affect about 600 customers.

Some of the areas that will be impacted include:

- W. Murdock Ave between Jackson St and Bowen St.

- Kentucky St between W. Murdock Ave and W. Nevada Ave.

- Burdick St between W. Murdock Ave and W. Nevada Ave.

- Central St between W. Murdock Ave and W. New York Ave.

- N. Main St between W. Murdock Ave and W. New York Ave.

- W. Bent Ave between Jackson St and N. Main St.

- W. Nevada Ave between Jackson St and Jefferson St.

- W. Custer Ave between Kentucky St and N. Main St.

- W. Tennessee Ave between Central St and N. Main St.

- Jefferson St between E. Murdock Ave and Libbey Ave.

- Mount Vernon St between E. Nevada Ave and Libbey Ave.

- Ashland St between Huron Ave and Libbey Ave.

- E. Gruenwald Ave between N. Main St and Harrison St.

- E. Linwood Ave between N. Main St and Harrison St.

- E. Smith Ave between N. Main St and Harrison St.

Officials say two city services may be affected by the outage. They include a lift station at the corner of Bowen street and Murdock Avenue as well as a traffic signal on North Main street and Murdock Avenue.
