A protest on the east side of Green Bay is raising awareness about pipeline problems.
A group of people protested outside Wells Fargo Bank on University Avenue in Green Bay. Demonstrators said they're one of several banks funding the pipeline project.
They say despite many people's beliefs that the pipeline protests were over they're hoping to show people they're not because companies are still trying to put them in across the country.
"Knowledge is power. We're just trying to really get out here and really inform people that this is happening and also to encourage people to take out of these big banks, go to credit unions, go to someone that's in it for you, not a huge bigger picture," said protest organizer, Tree Janzen.
NBC26 reached out to Wells Fargo for comment by phone and emails but didn't hear back.
