Pinwheels placed for missing people in Wisconsin

Posted

Several people in Northeast Wisconsin spent Saturday morning spreading awareness about missing people in the state.

Nearly 200 pinwheels were put in the ground at Fox Valley Technical College’s Public Safety Training Center in Appleton.

People say it's a way to bring attention to every missing person in Wisconsin and highlight the 4th Annual Missing Persons Awareness Event.

“This is more eye catching to people. I do hope they call the college and ask what these pin-wheels represent, and again. If that generates more people to attend the event, that's more people we can provide awareness to those that are missing,” said Dana Schmidt

The event will be held on April 7th at Public Safety Training Center of Fox Valley Technical College in Appleton.
