Leaders with St. Norbert College say there was a physical assault of a student that took place near campus on Friday. According to a news release from campus officials, this happened around 3:00 a.m. on the 800 block of Third Street.

According to campus officials, a student was walking South on Third Street when a green van with rust on the back pulled up next to her. The people inside of the van asked her if she could help them find their dog. Officials say when she told them "no" and continued to walk, one of the people got out of the van and grabbed her. The student successfully fought back and escaped.

Officials say the suspects then headed south on Third Street. The people in the van are described as two Hispanic men in their late 20s to early 30s. The driver had longer slicked-back hair and a five o'clock shadow. The passenger wore a gray hooded sweatshirt and dark jeans.
