GREEN BAY, Wis.- Today marks the 10th annual Paws Parade of Hope Cancer Fundraiser in Green Bay at the Riverside Ballroom.
The event hosts a dog fashion show and silent raffle to benefit those fighting cancer.
The fundraiser was originally inspired by the comfort pets can give those battling chronic disease.
"It's our tenth year of our event we've had a couple different venues, we actually had to move to a larger venue which made us happy so obviously we've got the support. There's just so many people in this state, in this area and all the money stays local, but that need help with this," explained event organizer. Paula Smits.
Since it started in 2007, Paws Parade of Hope has raised more than $120,000 to help those fighting cancer pay for medical costs.
