UPDATE: The deceased has been identified as 55-year-old, Daniel Yonke. Police did not release if the driver will face any charges.

TOWN OF FARMINTON - A man is dead after Police say he was hit by an SUV while walking down the middle of State Highway 54 in Waupaca County.
It happened around 10 p.m. Friday. Police received two calls of reports of a man walking in the middle of the highway. The second call reported the man had been hit by an eastbound SUV.
The driver of the SUV has been identified as a 17-year-old Waupaca resident.
Responding deputies and Emergency personnel tried to resuscitate the pedestrian, identified as a 55-year-old Waupaca resident. He was pronounced dead at the the scene.
State Highway 54 was detoured for nearly three hours after the incident.
The crash remains under investigation.
